Identity Verification FAQs
What is ID verification?

We must be able to prove you are who you say you are in the interst of patient safety, confidentiality and the prevention of fraud. We use an external third party who will perform the identity checks. Verification is done in real time;- once you have submitted your registration form and uploaded the necessary documents, you will ready to book an appointment to see a clinician.

When verifying a child's identity, the process is slightly different and may take up to 24 hours to complete but we will work as fast as possible.

What documents do I need?

You will be asked to submit a photographic ID document e.g. driving license or passport and an official letter confirming your address e.g. a utility bill. If you are registering a person under 16 years, you will be asked to submit a document that confirms your legal responsibility for the child e.g. a birth certificate, adoption certificate, Court Order of Parental Responsibility or a Passport that links their surname to the adult account.

How long does ID verification take?

Usually, if there is no issue with verifying your identity, the process is completed at the time of registration.

Sometimes, e.g. in the case of a child it can take longer as the process requires additional security checks. We will work as fast as possible but it may take up to 24 hours.

What does it mean if I am referred?

Dont worry! We will contact you to see if we can verify your identity in another way. Often we just need answers to a few additional questions.

Do I have to do the ID verification step?

You will be able to register an account but you will be unable to use the service to make appointments with our clinicians until ID verification is complete.
